Gulaman. Gelatin is for rich folks. Well maybe not now but back then gulaman is much affordable and you can only buy gelatin in supermarket chains. Also gulaman is vegan.

Magic water is actually a thing and mostly sold in streets of manila It's cheap and is meant to quench thirst . just think about it as a milk tea with grass jelly minus the milk tea of course. also gelatin isn't traditionally used for making jello but instead gulaman it's like agar agar since it's made of seaweeds.. that's all no need to be OA
